We kept rebuilding the same spreadsheet. So we stopped.
Dibein started in 2024 because our founders had independently rebuilt the same 13-week cash forecast, by hand, at three different companies, and finally decided to stop doing that.
Léa spent six years running treasury at a French payments company, watching the same failure mode repeat itself every quarter: a forecast built carefully on a Monday, quietly going stale by Wednesday, and nobody noticing until a tight week arrived without warning. Marco had spent almost as long building time-series forecasting systems for a logistics platform, solving a version of the same problem for delivery volumes instead of cash.
They met in 2023, compared notes, and realized the tooling gap wasn’t a lack of forecasting technique — treasurers have used rolling 13-week forecasts for decades — it was that nobody had built a system that kept one continuously updated from live bank and accounting data, the way a logistics platform keeps a delivery forecast updated from live tracking data. Dibein started as a weekend prototype connecting one bank account to a spreadsheet-replacement script, and became a company once three friends running finance at their own startups asked to use it for real.
We’re a small team, based in Rueil-Malmaison, just outside Paris, close enough to La Défense that most of our early customers were a short train ride away for the first round of in-person onboarding calls. We stayed EU-based and EU-hosted deliberately — the regulatory bar for handling financial data in Europe is high, and we’d rather build to it from day one than retrofit it later.
Twelve people, most of whom have rebuilt this spreadsheet themselves.
Léa Fontaine
CEO & co-founder
Led treasury operations at a French payments company for six years, including through a period of rapid merchant growth that made manual cash forecasting untenable. Started Dibein after rebuilding the same forecast spreadsheet for the third company in a row.
Marco Bianchi
CTO & co-founder
Built time-series forecasting infrastructure for a logistics platform before Dibein. Cares more than is strictly healthy about confidence intervals and read-only API scopes.
Camille Duval
Head of Product
Spent five years in finance operations roles before moving into product. Sits in on customer finance meetings most weeks and treats that as the actual job.
Yassine Rahmouni
Lead ML Engineer
Builds and maintains the forecasting and anomaly-detection models. Previously worked on fraud detection for a payments processor, which is where the obsession with false-positive rates comes from.
Sophie Larrieu
Head of Customer Success
Onboards every new customer personally for their first month. Keeps a running list of the questions Ask Dibein couldn't answer, which is the most-read internal document at the company.
Hugo Meunier
Head of Security & DPO
Owns data protection, access controls, and the annual penetration test. Previously worked in information security at a regional bank, and is the person who insisted bank connections stay read-only, permanently.
We’re hiring across engineering and customer success as we grow past our first cohort of customers — reach out via the contact page if that’s you.
